Tia's Visit

My sister-in-law usually comes & spends a few nights with us when she is on vacation from school. Since it was her spring break she wanted to come & hang out with her favorite nephew Isaac (aka her Booger). She had a little surprise when she showed up & found out that her brother needed our help. Simon is trying to get some new business (Oh by the way he did!) & he needed the warehouse cleaned & ready for visitors for the following day. So off to Dada work or Isaac's BIG playground. He got to ride the fork lifts & beep the horn, oh & by the way we did not finish til 12 am! 

Isaac sure had fun though & here he is eating dinner & listening to his music before we got to work. He was acting really silly.

Some what of a blur

This week was very busy, but on purpose. Simon was out of town & Isaac is sooo attached to his Dada. So I wanted to keep his mind off the fact that he was not around. First we were off to Nina & Nino's for dinner & a trip to Macy's, then back to our house for some American Idol. The next day we hung out with Tia Becky & the girls. We had dinner at Chilito's & then had play time for the kids & a session of Dancing with the Stars workout for us. What great friends we have! They were trying to help while Dada was gone.

Friday we had another play date with Symph, Bella, True, and Brave. Mama forgot her camera so no pictures this time, sorry. Then off to our pastors house for a meeting. Then we got an unexpected but wonderful phone call from Dada who said he was on his way home EARLY! Well that ended up being 5 the next morning but still it was great.

Saturday was just as busy but at least Dada was around. We went to Nanie & Papa house to help Papa with some stuff. Then back to our pastors house to get ready for the first service at our new location.

Thank God for Sundays! Went to church & them relaxed the rest of the day. So needless to say I have been very behind on my blogging and I am sorry for that. Hopefully this week I can get back on track. So keep a lookout for new adventures from the Garcia clan.

Easter weekend started on Saturday with my Barbosa family. We all gathered at my brother & sister in law's house. Isaac went to a birthday party with his Auntie Ena (Selena) but he did get to hang out with us in the end

Then on Sunday morning we woke Isaac up so he could open his basket that the Easter Bunny left for Isaac & from his Tio Raul & Tia April.

Funny story, Daddy did not like the back pack Isaac was recently sporting, a Dora back pack that his cousin Ariana had. So the Easter Bunny got the request for a "voom, voom" back pack.

Then time for Tio & Tia's basket, which he loved. He kept saying "wow".

Then we were off the to park for the Colin family Easter celebration. Yes Isaac was as usual the center of attention. There he got 3 more baskets & an Easter egg hunt just for him.

I have a basket with plastic eggs on the coffee table for decoration. Isaac loved them & would always take it & hide the eggs, then go around the house & put them back. So he loved the egg hunt.

It was a hot day so Daddy wet him from time to time. It may have been a mistake because now Isaac want to put anything he drinks on his head.

Needless to say, Isaac was pooped by the end of the day. He just relaxed in a chair & talked with the adults.

Today I cleaned & lysoled the house & Isaac's toys. This was soooo much fun to him. Things he never pulls out of his toy box he NEEDED to play with when I was cleaning them.

Sunday we celebrated Simon's cousin Nicole's birthday at a pirate show. Isaac was wide eyed the entire time! His Nana bought him a teddy bear pirate & a matching patch for himself. He did not know what to make of the patch but he loves his new bear.

Update on the sickling

I tell you having an "M.D." at the end of your name does not mean you are always right. We took Isaac to urgent care last weekend & they said the he just had a virus that was going around. I insisted that he had some kind of infection due to the way he was acting (because a mommy knows). Well needless to say he did not get better. So on Thursday we took him to is regular doc. who I LOVE! She was not happy.... Isaac had an ear infection & the start of Bronchitis. So he is on a breathing treatment now & some other meds to help his yuckies along. He is getting better by the minute.

Thank God for Docs. who actually listen to us mommy's!

Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday To You......

Today is the love of my lives 30th birthday. Can you believe it? I met Simon when he was 19 years old. I always knew I would grow old with him but the realization of such a big milestone in his young life awes me. 

I thank God for giving us such a strong leader to guide our family. I thank Him that he has given this man to me. Happy Birthday baby! I love you.

We had a nice dinner at home & invited Simon's parents, sisters, The Maestas's, & The Agiuar's. Stay tuned for the big celebration.....

Poor Baby

So yesterday Isaac woke up coughing really bad, so bad in fact that he made himself throw up a few times. So off to urgent care we went.

Thank God no ear or throat infections. He had a fever & cough. The doctor said is was just a virus that is going around.

So last night I did not sleep at all. Isaac's fever got hirer & we put him in bed with us. So I finally fell asleep around 5:30. The next thing I hear is Isaac playing with his Dada. His fever broke & he is back to his normal boyish self.
